| In the summer of 2011 I bought a plane ticket to Prague. I had gone into the Travel agency before with the intention of going to Prague but I never got around to getting a ticket to Prague before. I think of this as the "Prague Trip", but I also went to Olomouc, Bratislava, and Vienna. So I visited three different counties on the trip. I took a different camera this time. Tired of carrying a camera bag I just took a Sony Powershot that could take movies in HD as well as large images. The image size was definitely larger and it was nice being able to carry my camera in my pocket but the image quality was not as good as the SLR takes. Near the end of the trip I dropped the camera and broke it. I ended up having to buy a new camera in Prague from a local camera store. "Golden Prague" was a bit of a letdown for me. There were a LOT of tourists in Prague and really the main tourist spots did not seem that special. It made it important for me to add an interesting place to my trip and I decided to take the train over to nearby Vienna. My original plan had been to visit 2-3 places in the Czech Republic and maybe 2 in Slovakia. Instead I added Vienna to the trip and only visited one place in Slovakia - Bratislava the capital To the right are entry pages for the Photo Galleries divided up by location. |
